There were drugs in our coffee maker

My family stayed there the weekend of September 22-24 2023. At around 930pm on the first night we went to make a cup of tea. Upon opening the provided coffee maker we were shocked to find a crack cocaine smoking pipe in the coffee maker. My 6 yr old son was in the room and luckily enough didn't find it himself. We went to the front desk and we're asked if we were leaving the hotel. We are not from the area and could not find a new room at that time of night and short notice. We were offered a new room to remove our child from the danger and were given the email to send the complaint. After numerous attempts to call the manager she was "sick" and couldn't take my call. I sent the email and was very quickly responded with a denial for a refund because we decided to take a different room instead of leaving. Again we are not from this area and we're in town for an event over the weekend. This by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel I have ever stayed at and will never set foot in that hotel again. Highly unprofessional handling of not only illegal drug paraphernalia but puting my 6yr old child in severe danger.

Now Charging a Fee to Park

Second time I have stopped here for an overnight before heading further north. Place was clean and pretty basic and had everything we needed. One negative is being charged a fee to park my car. This isn’t a major city and while not a large amount of money I don’t feel a motel next to huge open spaces and not in the middle of a city has the nerve to charge a fee to park your vehicle. Won’t be back.

I spoke to OWNER, Dion, who came on the phone with an attitude and acknowledged that she read my review. She is refusing to give me a refund for 1-2 days of my 5- day stay because 1) I continued with my stay and did not check out 2) She saw my Review, and 3) she does not sway from the policies and procedures she sets forth. She says it's against her power. Need I remind you she is the OWNER! This is not a franchise. This is an independently and locally owned company. She has the power to make an unhappy customer satisfied. I am not asking for a full refund. I am not asking for anything free. I had a very unpleasant stay and YES, I stayed my full stay. I had nowhere else to go due to the circumstances. I asked her about her staff hanging up on me and her response,"I have nothing to say." PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Read all the reviews and take them into consideration before your stay.

Is this Baymont Inn & Suites by Wyndham Manchester or Manchester Inn & Suites? When we arrived we were not sure we were at the right hotel but the address confirmed. Check-in was quick. Hotel has an elevator. Room was big with fridge, microwave, safe and an antique box TV. Table surfaces were dusty and sticky. Found a used bath towel hanging behind the bathroom door and 1 towel missing from the rack. Now, did someone just had a bath and left after the room was cleaned? The chair was in so bad shape how can that not be replaced? As for breakfast, it's more like snacks. Breakfast is not sit-down pick your selection but pre-packed brown bag bottle water, packet juice yogurt and a pop tart. Yeah no one can say no breakfast provided. The 2 nights we stayed we were kept awake late with noisy party music from somewhere outside. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself if you still want to stay here? Yes, value for money but only if you are not fussy.

I came early and tried to check in. They wouldn’t, and they would not give me a map of the area, or tell me what was near. I wrote a note for the manager to contact me before my checkout, as I like to give them the courtesy of chatting before writing a negative review, When I returned an hour after normal check in time they told me they had cancelled my reservation and I’d get a refund from Expedia . They made false accusations and refused to give me the name of the manager. They tried to keep the money. They refused to give Hotels.com the refund or the name of the manager 4 times! It took me a week and 4 hours of phone/chats with Hotels.com before I got my refund. The photo of this old, worn out hotel tell the message.
